Food: Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Good morning. I am all alone at home, so I decided to make myself a yummy breakfast: Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Fried Eggs. It was soooo tasty. Sharing of the recipe is a must. :)

What will you need? (for one sandwich)

2 pieces of bread
1 egg
A teaspoon of flour (which I mixed in the egg before frying it)
As much Edam cheese as you like

What to do?

Fry the egg, mixed with the flour. Put the cheese and the egg in the sandwich and toast everything in a toaster and toast it, toast it good. :D That's all folks.

Enjoy!

Song of the week: Restless Heart

Hello again. I have a little break from studying and exams, so it's the official time for blogging. :)

The song of this week is Restless Heart by Matt Hires. It's an upbeat and fun song and I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. It's perfect for the summer and for where you are feeling down, cause the song will (probably) make you feel better. It works for me at least. ;)

Enjoy.

Food: Kaiserschmarrn

No, this is not a made up word. This is an Austrian dish, which I love. I was making it for lunch one day this week and I finally decided to post a recipe for it, so everyone can make it and try this delicious thingy. ;)

What will you need?

2 Eggs
65g of Flour
150g of Milk
15g of Sugar
A pinch of Salt
A teaspoon of Baking Powder
A fist of Raisins soaked in warm water

Little bit of Butter for the pan

Jam, marmelade, nutella or anything sweet for the "topping"

What do you have to do?
First put the eggs, flour, milk, sugar, salt and baking powder in a bowl and mix it all together. I used a really useful Tupperware shaker, which is perfect for this.

Shake, shake, shake...

Warm up a "non-sticking" pan and melt the butter in it.

When it's really hot, put in the mixture.

Now put in the raisins.

Wait for it to bake on one side.

And then turn it around.

When you feel that it's quite done, cut it into smaller pieces.

And voila! Add some jam or anything else you love or just eat it as it is. :)

Enjoy!

Happening: My Sweetheart's 21st Birthday

The outfit

The gift

The birthday boy <3

The explanation

On Monday my boyfriend celebrated his 21st birthday. Yeey! So I picked up some nice clothes to look all pretty for the special occasion. I wanted to give his a ticket to the Punk Rock Holiday, which is a festival in Slovenia in July, but I didn't have time or the opportunity to buy a real one, so I just printed out a picture of the ticket and told him that he will get the real one soon. :D But for the compensation, I wrote a lovely poem in the card. ;) He took me out for lunch and we stuffed ourself with yummy pizza. It was a really nice day. :)

Song of the week: ALCOHOL IS FREE by Koza Mostra

It was Eurovision Time again. This year in Malmö, one of my favorite cities in the world. So I spent my Saturday evening in front of the TV, watching the show and texting and commenting everything with my brother, who is actually living in Malmö and was watching the show on a big screen in some bar. :)
The winner was Denmark, so next year the show will be 20 minutes away from where it was this year, in Copenhagen. Maybe my brother and I will go see it live next year. Just for the fun of it. ;)

Sooo, for the song of the week I've chosen: Alcohol is Free by Koza Mostra & Agathon Iakovidis, which was the song representing Greece. In my opinion, the most fun song of the show. They should be the winner! ;)

Here is an English translation of the song:
The heavy sea found us (when we were passing) through Via Egnatia
Beaufort forces take us on the open sea
The course might be a little wrong, who is playing with the lights?
And the (ship's) fore is heading towards Grevena
In a sea of whisky
(we 're) castaways and who can find us
And the whole earth gets dizzy, staggers
(Someone) with his head like a strainer
And the car like a fishing boat
Who has put it wheel and sail?
Alcohol, alcohol, alcohol is free (x3)
Alcohol is free, alcohol is free
(There's) wave and it's raging
And the mermaid is asking
But Alekos is drunk, fair lady
(There's a) traffic light in the middle of the sea
Dude, we were found out
Who took my little house far away, far away?
The heavy sea found us (when we were passing) through Via Egnatia
Beaufort forces take us on the open sea
The course might be a little wrong, who is playing with the lights?
And the (ship's) fore is heading towards Grevena
The heavy sea found us (when we were passing) through Via Egnatia
Beaufort forces take us on the open sea
The course might be a little wrong, who is playing with the lights?
And the (ship's) fore is heading towards Grevena
The whisky is not to blame
The ice cubes were bombs
Even the boat eventually has wheels
Alcotest and traffic cop
The road wasn't made for us
A downhill is starting in the sea
Alcohol, alcohol, alcohol is free (x3)
Alcohol is free, alcohol is free!

Enjoy!

Haul: Getting ready for the Summer.

I had to take a short break from all the studying and I realized that I really need to buy some things, so I took my car and went to the nearest city (Nova Gorica) and bought all the things I need (well, kind of need :D).

1. Essie Nail Polishes: They finally have them in DMs in Slovenia too. Last time I was there I bought the mattifying top coat Matte About You and I looove it. So I decided to try some of the colored nail polishes as well. I picked up 3 colors, which I think are very suitable for the summer: the lightest one is Essie's best seller called Mademoiselle, the one in the middle is called Go Ginza and the one on the top is Madison Ave-hue. I love the colors and I hope I will love the polishes as well. :)

2. Garnier PureActive Spot Clearing 24H Moisturizer: I started using this moisturizer about a month ago, because I have a very oily and problematic skin, and it really helped me. So this is my second "bottle" of it for weekend use, because the other one is in Ljubljana, where I am during the week.

3. Garnier Lip Care Protect: A perfect lip balm for the summer, when the sun really dries out the lips. I think this is going to be the third year of using this lip balm in the summer. It really does the job well. And it smells very nice (the smell of summer) as well. ;)

4. Garnier Pure Pore Purifying Toner: I started using this at the same time as the moisturizer and fell in love with it too. It really does a great job for my skin.

5. Balea Trend It Up Dry Shampoo: This is my first dry shampoo, so I actually have no idea what it will do to my hair, but I decided to try it out, because some days I just don't feel like washing my hair, even though I know it's oily and dirty. I hope this will help me on days like that. :)

6. Veet Depilation Strips: I don't think that I have to say anything about them. They are my summer essential (or at least spring essential, because in the sumer I usually use the silk-epil machine). Let's get waxing. :P

And this is it. A short review of my shopping trip on this sunny Saturday afternoon. I should go back to studying now.

Outfit of the Day: Mouse-stache.

I found this t-shirt in H&M in the boys department and it was so cute that I just had to buy it. ;)

T-shirt: H&M Boys
Jeans: NewYorker
Jeans shirt: H&M
Shoes: Vans

Random: Lack of Motivation

Why is it so hard to study this year? I have a terrible lack of motivation and every small thing distracts me from studying. And then I'm all grumpy and sad, even though I know it's my fault. So I had an idea, that a motivation post would help me get a little bit more motivated for these two weeks. I really do hope so. And since it's the exam period for all of the students, this might help someone else too. Good luck to you all! :)

Song of the week: Let Her Go by Passenger

I can't get this song out of my head. :)

Well you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go

Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you’re missin' home
Only know you love her when you let her go
And you let her go

Staring at the bottom of your glass
Hoping one day you'll make a dream last
But dreams come slow and they go so fast

You see her when you close your eyes
Maybe one day you'll understand why
Everything you touch surely dies

But you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go

Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missin' home
Only know you love her when you let her go

Staring at the ceiling in the dark
Same old empty feeling in your heart
'Cause love comes slow and it goes so fast

Well you see her when you fall asleep
But never to touch and never to keep
'Cause you loved her too much
And you dived too deep

Well you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go

Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missin' home
Only know you love her when you let her go

And you let her go
And you let her go
Well you let her go

'Cause you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go

Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missin' home
Only know you love her when you let her go

'Cause you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go

Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missin' home
Only know you love her when you let her go

And you let her go

Why so negative?

Damn, today I had to deal with some people that were sending really negative vibes to the outside world. I really don't like people that are surrounded with negative energy. I actually don't really know anything about people energies, auras and that stuff, but I think I can still make a post like that, just to reveal my thoughts on the subject. ;)

I don't want to be long, so I just have one (rhetorical) question for all the negative people out there: Darlings, if you're in a bad mood and hate the world, why do you have to make me (us) feel bad too? I understand if you have problems and you want to share them with me, so we can solve them together, cause I would love to do that, but don't say: "ahh it doesn't matter, it won't help anyway" in the end,  when we finally find the solution. Ugh, I hate that. And if you just want to share your negative energy to make other people feel bad too, then just go F. yourself. ;)

I am a really positive person, but I wasn't always like that. I was quite "emo" and sad  throughout high school, but in the end I realized that there is no real reason for being sad. You only live once (YOLO! Haha! :D) and why would you spend your ONE AND ONLY LIFE being sad and desperate. So I decided I want to be happy :) and I think that with every year that goes by, I am more and more positive, no matter what problems I am facing. And I really suggest this to all of you, if you aren't already doing that. Cause it's really more fun and you will thank me later. ;)

And screw all the negative vibes!

Pizza Making Time

For all the food lovers: IT'S PIZZA TIME! Time for the best pizza actually, the home-made one. Yummmmmmm. And I was so nice to take photos of the process. ;)

1. We took two pieces of dough bought in a local store Mercator. It had to be unfrozen first, which took 60 minutes, and then we had to leave it to rest for another 30 minutes so it raised (or whatever a pizza dough does).

2. I took a roller and flattened and thinned the dough so it fit in the baking tray.

3. Then I put (probably) way too much tomato sauce on the dough. But it's so yummy! :)

4. A buuuunch of cheese, so it would be extra cheesy. ;) I used Edamar and Mozzarella cheese.

5. I covered the "cheese field" with ham for pizza.

6. Just a little bit more cheese. ;)

7. I added some maze, because the vegetables make the pizza healthier. Yeah, right. ;)

8. I also added some sour cream and Guacamole sauce, just for a different taste of pizza.

9. And topped everything with home-dried Oregano.

It baked for 12 minutes at 250 degrees celsius.

And here is the final result:

SO YUMMY! And I really recommend this recipe for the next time you decide to make a pizza at home. And please, don't even think about all the calories you consume with it. It doesn't matter, cause it's just too good. ;)
